Aaira foundation focuses on social development and health awareness. India is a densely populated country where many people live without access to the basic education and primary health facilities. The situation is more complex in rural areas comparing to the urban areas.
The main goal is creating opportunities for women. Aaira foundation provides training, support, and guidance for these skill occupations. The use of plastics has grown to a great extent in our daily life and now plastics have become an integral part of our life. There are many serious and ill-effects of plastics in our life. The ecological balance has been completely damaged.
Considering all these serious issues, the anti-plastic bag campaign has been started. Aaira foundation had taken two-day training in paper bag making as part of its anti-plastic campaign. The training was conducted in Jarkarwadi Ambegaon Pune. The training will be for making bags using papers. Training was given to youth and women. Making eco-friendly bags can also generate income for women in the family. Altogether 70 women were trained during the one-day training. State government has recently banned the use of plastic in the state and for alternative use of plastic and for this reason training on paper bag making was being organized.
Aaira foundation is creating awareness among youth & women regarding the ill effects of using plastic bags and in-turn training them to make bags using recyclable material like paper & cloth.
